Mark Haverland and Faith Ferré wish to share with you their new venture in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. "New Occasions" is a Bed and Breakfast establishment for those seeking a quiet redoubt for retreats, vacations, and wilderness adventure in the far northwest Ontario wilderness. The facility is fully accessible so people with mobility challenges will find a convenient roll-in shower, no step entry and other conveniences to make their stay convenient and safe. New Occasions is located in a small town with a good public library, grocery store and restaurants. If you wish, Mark will take you fishing in local waters or help you find skilled local guides. If you have your own boat, New Occasions has a convenient dock and a nearby launch.
We feature boat access to very good walleye, pike and bass fishing lakes from our dock and a short drive to many more lakes. For instance, Big Vermillion features Lake Trout and small mouth bass and is just ten minutes by car. Lak Seul is one of Canada's premier fisheries and is just a twenty minute drive. Mark can also direct you or take you to one of many remote lakes and streams for a more adventurous outing. He can provide help with canoe trips and camping opportunities. Those who desire a private retreat will be left alone to read, study and relax in the serene surrounds of our conveniently located, but still somewhat isolated facility.
